Take the Robots to Play Soccer

Found in ... Techno-Toys

This morning I strolled into work with a wide grin on my face -and no I didn't get laid last night- and proceded to check my morning news -my daily blog reads-. On Slash Dot there was an interesting post about Japanese robotic teams boasting that they will be able to produce a winning World Cup Soccer Team from their VisiON’s model prototypes. Personly I just think they look like little Japanese guys wearing funny suits. But seriously folks, this is pretty cool stuff. Part of me likes to believe that we will live to see the robotic age. My grandparents saw the rise of industry, my parents saw the rise of computer technology, and now we -I am 26 here people- see the rise of the machines. Did you ever see Run Away with Tom Selic?

I may be a slacker - a modern day Bill Murray type - but that doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. I have the type of readers that live the slacker way and plainly enjoy life. If this is your demographic why not sponsor my ass. I could use the help, so if you're interested Click here to learn more about sponsorship opportunities. Thanks.

The Nano technology is realy starting to take off. I am constantly seeing specials about it on discovery. Plus Maxim mag is always publishing articles about recent Nano projects.

Read your blog about talking the robots to play soccer and now I can't get that song 'Take the Skinheads bowling' out of head. Was that reference to the somg on purpose? Thanks a lot! P.S. Who sings that song....Camper Van Beethoven?

Jen yes that was my exact intention. Ha Ha; now I am in your head. -Just Kidding- But yes that was the idea I thought it was catchy. And no sorry I don't know who does that song.
