Buffalo Artist Comes Out to Play

Found in ... I Don't Know if it's Art; But I Like it , Picture Pages

Last night, in the heart of Buffalo's artistic district Allen Town, artist Tammy Wetzel hosted an exhibit titled "The Divine Feminine: A Goddess-inspired interpretation of the Tarot" a digital montage. Invited by a friend, I asked if it would be OK to bring along my camera and snap a few pictures of the night. Tammy was extremely nice and allowed me to click till my hearts content. The evening attracted quite a turnout, packing in over 50 or so local art coinsures into the studio at 91 Allen St - I even saw my eye doctor there -. The main attraction - the digital prints - were hung along the perimeter of the studio, and if I may say so - and I am no art critic - the Tarot prints displayed complete mastery of both photography, digital art/media and of course knowledge of the subject matter. The wine poured freely - perhaps a bit to freely for myself, so if the pictures I took came out a bit blurred you know why - the food was fantastic and the music - performed by local talent which I failed to get the name of - aided in setting the tone of the night very well. The exhibit will be showing through April 2nd on Wednesdays - Saturdays from 12:00 - 5:00pm, I highly recommend checking it out if you had not last night. The following are some of the better pictures I took from the event.

A shared moment between Tammy and a close friend.

Fans of the arts, and the guys I came with Neil Finley and Anthony Gugino.

Friend, Fan, and Model for some of the prints Emily.

As I said - The wine was flowing.

I wasn't the only one snapping shots, and there were plently to take with this turn out.

It was difficult to capture the works due to reflections, but here is a small one that shows one of the walls displayig the Tarot.

The band did a hell of a job, I just feel bad that I forgot to ask them who they were.

They played on for the whole evening. - Jamming out

Thankfully the flash wasn't screwing anyone up.

The rest of the band.

Since Tammy sports the red, this guys favors blue. - I swear his hair is really blue

Tammy clears the way so I can take a few shots of her and her Mother. - oh well, I decided to publish this one anyway

Another one of the models from Tammy's prints. - and of course it is snowing in Buffalo

Every one was talking, drinking and having a blast.

Tammy with another local artist. -who was explaining her sudo artist name, and then I forgot it

Yes I think the marijuana should be freed from Canada as well.

Faces flooded the studio. - I just whish I got some names

Please excuse me if they were a bit distorted - as I mentioned, that flowing wine thing -, also since I am an amateur, I forgot to get some important information to post such as peoples names, possible web site links and the name of the fricken band. So if any one has that, and would like to share, please add to the comments and I will update this page. Thank you Tammy for the great time, and again for all of you who get the opportunity, check out Tammy’s "The Divine Feminine: A Goddess-inspired interpretation of the Tarot".

I may be a slacker - a modern day Bill Murray type - but that doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. I have the type of readers that live the slacker way and plainly enjoy life. If this is your demographic why not sponsor my ass. I could use the help, so if you're interested Click here to learn more about sponsorship opportunities. Thanks.
