Lucas and the Blog Galaxy: Star Wars Blogs Take Flight
Found in ... Blog Stuff
As of May 05, 2005 @ 09:34 AM, George Lucas and his Star Wars Community site has added Blogging to it's repertoire of features. Star Wars Blogs is a site which allows fans to create their own Blogs and post on topics such as game, the movies, the books and a number of miscellaneous categories. The SW Bloggers also have the ability to set up author profiles, Blogrolls, favorites and comments on Blogs across the system. The idea is very much like what Major League Baseball launched with MLBlogs. From a social computing standpoint, this is a great addition to the community aspects of Star Wars.com and once again proves the value of Blogging technology. The service cost about $40.00 but also includes all of the perks of being a hyperspace member -which is the members section of the site-. From a Blogspert's opinion, it is seriously lacking in options and customization features, almost giving it the look and feel of a fancied up forum, at least it's a start. Check out Star Wars Blogs and let me know what you think.

Sponsor BerfNet ...Message from the Berf I may be a slacker - a modern day Bill Murray type - but that doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. I have the type of readers that live the slacker way and plainly enjoy life. If this is your demographic why not sponsor my ass. I could use the help, so if you're interested Click here to learn more about sponsorship opportunities. Thanks. Berf Net continues below ... |
