Jason Kottke has posted an interesting note on the success of T-Shirt merchants online. Apparently there has been a number of successful online entrepreneurs who are making a nice side piece pawning off funny shirts. You can read the details at the Wall Street Journal, but in summary it covers a few case studies in which online sites were launched along with a merchandising plan. Later the sites fell, but the merchandising continues to create revenue. I've seen this in the past, sites -some even blogs- selling T-Shirts, mugs, stickers and my favorite .. thongs -not that I wear them you sick`o; it's for the ladies-. That got me wondering, if BerfNet were to create a merchandising line, what would it say?
