David Lynch is a Weather Man via [Suck My Blog]
Too funny, Bukezilla is going to shit a solid gold brick when he reads this. Acclaimed film director, writer and now meteorologist DAvid Lynch has added a Weather section to his web site. Lynch has always been a tad on the stange side, so I guess adding this to his stable of specialties is not that eccentric.

Lagging Behind: Companies Continue to Use Win2k via [Slashdot]
This is fairly interesting to the I.T world. This article points out that even though XP has been out for 4+ years and MS Longhorn is on its way, many companies continue to deploy machines running Win 2K. I see this on a regular basis, but the author fails to mention the dangers an I.T shop can encounter when upgrading to the newest freshest package. These OS's often have a series of patches before they are running 100%, and in many cases companies have 3rd party solutions which are not supported by the newer versions of MS server or Windows OS.

Ebert Gives Batman Begins 5/5 via [Roger Ebert - Sun Times]
I will not be seeing this movie until the weekend, but I am egerly anticipating it. There are not many critics that I listen to but Roger Ebert is one of them. He gave Batman Begins an amazing review, and since this is a comic book movie I would have expected the critics to tear it a new one. Luckily it seems to be the general consensus that this one delivers.

Porn Masters Grow Up via [Wired News]
A few years ago when I was first entering the world of Web Dev and Hosting, I toyed with the idea of getting involved in the adult industry. It is the biggest money making entity on the Internet -along with online gambling- but I chickened out. This article is interesting because it shows how the pioneers of the online porn industry were quite radical in their youth, but as they all matured and the industry did the same, their attitudes changed. Interesting interviews with a few of the more successful Online masters and how they balance their personal lives and working in this Taboo industry.

Jacko Goes Free: Not Guilty on all !0 Counts via [CNN]
As strange as he is, it seems that a jury of his peers does not see him as a twisted child molester. Is this verdict a result of big money or is he truly innocent? I guess only time will tell, lets see what happens after the Neverland slumber parties resume!

Yahoo Acquires Blo.gs: Who's Next? via [Search Engine Journal]
Recently the Social Computing War wages on with it's newest battle victory to Yahoo. Yahoo has bought Blo.gs which is similar to a Technoraty/Kinja service. The scary part of this article is the mention of the logical next steps, and the suggestion of purchasing Blogger software Pioniers Six Apart.
