The Movie Blog's editor and owner John Campea does a semi weekly audio edition with his buddy Doug who is a Canadian comedian -but we wont hold that against him-. They discuss some of the movie biz gossip -production and new movie bews, never tabloid headlines-, hit on some of the new titles in the box office and DVD, and finally that will review a few movies they have scene or one in particular - which may be a big deal. The audio edition is actually pretty good, it has made me think of doing something similar with my friend Anth -we are disgusting movie nuts-, but now I read on the site that John and crew are debating on trying to do a video edition of TMB. Despite what I think about the idea, the readers of TMB have expressed their willingness to download the video. I would think that the video edition would turn out like a cheesy public access show, unless they were willing to put in the time and make it look really nice. I have been blogging for years now in one form or another and let me tell you, it's hard enough trying to fill my site with stuff and work, play and experiment with new things. I mean a guy gotta get laid. So unless John and his cronies are able to take on maintenance of TMB full time -and if they can, right on- I would stick with the easy audio. Don't forget to follow the K.I.S.S principle, "keep it simple stupid".
