How Long are You Going to Live?
Found in ... Handy Do-Dads
Courtesy of LifeHacker is this cool little quiz which calculates your life expectancy. Fill out the questions to the best of your knowledge and submit your results. Then the system calculates your approximate age of death based on your answers. I am expected to live to the age of 85, which is pretty cool but my Grandfather just turned 95 -so much for modern medicine-. Give it a go and comment on your results here.

Tools for Becoming a Better Writer
Found in ... Handy Do-Dads
I am trying to become a better writer. Not that I think I am a poor one, but I could use some help on topics like style, grammar and spelling. It can be tricky using hyphens correctly and knowing when to use third person masculine. So I did some searching and came up with a few links to help those like myself. The following can help the amateur fine tune his skills and meet standards practiced by professionals:

Come On LifeHacker, You Should be Digging Deeper
Found in ... Handy Do-Dads , Web Dev & Code Monkey Talk
I love LifeHacker, matter of fact, I do not go a day without consulting the helpful bright mind that is Gina Trapani. Today was no different, I visited LifeHacker earlier and was surprised to see that the download of the day was a favorite of mine Edit Plus (it's better than Ultra Edit). Surprisingly I have been using Edit Plus for over 5 years now, so I was wondering how it became such a hot new item. Also mentioned in the post was the $30 user license, which is not exactly true. I thought LifeHacker would go a bit deeper into the tool and let all of its readers know that the free 30 day trial never expires. So download Edit Plus's Trial version and have a blast. I use it for all of my code monkeying around.

Life Hacker Saved me From My God Awful Spelling Problem
Found in ... Handy Do-Dads
Life Hacker had such a helpful post today, I just had to blog it. Not only did I add it to my blog, I even had to create a whole new catergory (Handy Do-Dads)to place it in. This truly productive little app. is tinySpell, a simple spell checker that checks on the fly as you type. It works in any windows application and even on websites. This is great for me since my spelling is amazingly poor -my teachers used to make fun of me- and I am constantly writing in this blog and normally leaving numerous spelling errors on the page. Now I can write like the wind without having to worry about using word to check the spelling of phrases I am questioning. Thank you Life Hacker you have proven yourself to me again.
