Can't get Enough Katamari Damacy
Found in ... Video Crack
It has been a very long time since I last sat down and actually played a video game from start to finish. Katamari Damacy not only got me to spend the time to complete the game, I find myself returning to the Prince of All the Cosmos and retrying old stages to do better.
What a great game. At first -about 3 months ago- when Nam and Buke showed it to me, I thought it was stupid. But after giving it a good run, I have fallen in love with it. Hell I'm even listening to the soundtrack as I type these words.
If you're not familiar with Katamari Damacy then here is the idea. The King of All the Cosmos was having some fun and destroyed all of the stars in the sky. Now you -the tiny Prince- must use your Katamari ball and travel to Earth to put the stars back into the sky. You do this by rolling up objects from Earth -because Earth has so many things-. As your Katamari get larger you can pick up larger objects. Starting with thumbtacks to candy, stationary, boxes, people, plants, houses, buildings, trees, hills, islands and so on. As your Katamari skills increase you get hooked.
The soundtrack for this game is amazing. So chill and fits in perfectly with the game play. A wide range of genres and mix of Japanese and English.
I've even gone as far as downloading Prince paper crafts so I can have a toy!
Laugh now, but if you play Katamari Damacy, you'll be dreaming about it in your sleep and scoping out items to pick up on your way to work in the morning.

Female Based "Lost Boys" Remake via [TMB]
Horrible news coming from TMB. I guess there is a remake comming down the pipe which is going to be based off of the great movie "The Lost Boys". Unfortunately this one is going to be using a pack of girls -not bad- and instead of degenerates they will be cheerleaders -BAD-. I love "The Lost Boys" and this is truly upsetting news.

Matt Damon and Heath Ledger Look to be a Great Match Up via [Movie Web]
Check out the trailer for "The Brothers Grimm", the pairing of Matt Damon and Heath Ledger looks to be a winner. Seriously, I am already a big fan of Matt Damon, and Ledger is certainly making waves in the business. This duo role for Ledger could be the one that launches his career into the list of A listers.

Why Star Wars is Good & Computer Programmers are the Real World Jedi's via [BoingBoing]
This is great, BoingBoing has a link to this article which covers how the new SW trilogy does in fact match up with the movies of old, the importance of SW, and -this is the coolest part- how computer programmers/scientists are the Jedi's of the real world.

How Batmans Suit Works via [How Stuff Works]
If you're a fan of Batman or super heros in general, and you have always wondered how there super suits worked, this article is great. It goes into pretty good detail on how Bruce Wyan's Batsuit deploys all those wonderful toys.

Star Wars reviled via [Cinematical]
The new movie site from Weblogs Inc "Cinematical" has a great little posting on the new Star Wars Trilogy, compared to the original. It also goes into detail on how the actors had harder roles to play due to all of the external material between films -to maintain character consistency-. One good point was the importance of the "Clone Wars" cartoon which aired on Cartoon Network. Basically describing how those who had not scene the cartoons whould not understand situations in the final movie, and whould have a much harder time believing in Skywalkers experience as a war hero.

The Next Video Game that will Take Control over My Life via [Euro Gamer]
Those who know me are aware of my weakness to great video games and how they can take over my life from time to time. "The Sims" had that affect on me for a while, and "Star Wars Galaxies" controlled my life for over a year when it came out. I have been free of this burden for about a year now -thanks to a great 12 step program- but now I fear there is game comming that will get me back on the sauce. "The Movies" will be the next game that will take over my life. This is the game I always wanted to have and now it is on its way. This is going to be awsome, a Sim much like "Rollercoaster Tycoon", "Theme Park Tycoon" and "Sim City" but based on the movie industry. You will be able to control every angle of the business, from developing your studio, pruning your actors, writing your scripts, and making little movie trailers. I just hope this doesn't come out until winter when I only leave the house to go skiing.

Been Cracked Out on This for a While
Found in ... Video Crack

Another thing I have been doing is playing a crap load of Star Wars Galaxies. If you dont know what SWG is, then to make it simple and quick, it is a massive multiplay online role playing game, or (MMORPG). It's pretty sweet, you get to create your own Star Wars character, and travel trough the univers doing missions and learning skills; crap like that. They are also getting ready to launch the first expansion pack for the game, Jump to Light Speed. This is anticipated to be one hell of an expansion, adding tons of actual real time fighter pilot action into the game. I had quit playing for a while, and even cancled my subscription, but after 3 months your data is deleted you see, and I paniced. A whole year of work down the tubes, and I couldn't do that to Iago Hasslehuff. So I am back on SWG, but only playing here and there. But I can't tell you how excited I am to try out the new expansion.
